"Go Home" is one thing I have heard a lot during my life living in the UK. But I was never to keen to travel to Jamaican. Im not to sure why, but I was scared.
One April in 2014 I decided to overcome my fear. I went to visit the land of my forefathers. I headed out of the tourist zones into Kingston, then out and towards the bending dirt roads that lead to The Blue Mountain.
I travel up some 4500ft to meet with with family I had never met. But we shared an important thing; blood. We stayed the night in my Aunties home and left early the next morning to go and see the land that my grandfather worked hard to buy.
We arrived at Whitfield Hall Estate. This was the home that my grandfather talked about. I felt sad that I didn't get a childhood here. Playing out would have been a dream.
